Coach Bags: A Thorough Guide
Coach opened its workshop in 1941 making men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags arrived later before turning into the mainstay of the brand. These days, coach handbags run from structured shoulder bags and relaxed hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. This overview takes each major line in turn, explaining what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is made. Some well-known lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch years appear in this guide only where they are documented.
As opposed to reflecting an official price list, the prices here are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions all affect them. If you are choosing your first coach bag, you should be aware that similar names can describe completely different designs. A search for “couch bag”, which some buyers type when looking for a Coach bag, can pull furniture pages into the results because the word also describes a sofa.
The Tabby
With detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a structured shoulder bag that can also be worn crossbody. Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, modeling it on a form from Coach’s 1970s archive. Photographer Juergen Teller reportedly shot the bag’s launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. Product listings have included sizes 20, 26 and 36, whereas the main product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag.
Titles such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting belong to the padded Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. Observed prices for the Tabby 26 were $475 in the US and £475 in the UK, while quilted and special-edition versions were listed higher. The easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a good fit for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Line
The couch-outlet Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, much closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It was shown on the Fall 2024 runway and launched in August 2024. The Brooklyn 28 and the larger Brooklyn 39 stand out as the two main sizes that have been reported. Descriptions of the 39 note that it is roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, so it makes a practical work bag.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a different bag from the shoulder styles. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 had an observed price of £350. The RealReal’s 2025 resale report noted that searches for Coach had risen 160% and cited the Brooklyn among the bags mentioned; this number, however, tracks searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
Built with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s firmly structured satchel. It first appeared on the Fall 2016 runway, was later discontinued and returned in a 2021 relaunch. At the very top of Coach’s leather range, the line comes in versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. With an observed price of $8,000, a Rogue 25 in alligator carried the highest Coach bag price observed in 2026.
Coach also provides a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken around 12 weeks, or around 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own repair and resale program, has featured restored Rogue bags. For many collectors, the Rogue shows how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall
Offered as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, the Empire Carryall is a long, east-west top-handle bag. It was released in February 2025, in the wake of its appearance on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway. Fashion press reported that it had sold out on its release day. Less structured variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.
On Coach’s own website in the UK, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. Its long top-handle shape makes it a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. If you are comparing listings, check the number that follows the name: 34 and 40 are not the same bag.

Kisslock: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Coach associates the Kisslock motif with the Bonnie Cashin era; the name belongs to a frame clasp inspired by vintage coin purses. A number of different bags share the word, and they should not be confused. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reportedly the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. Since earlier Kisslock Frame versions also show up in listings, the family may well predate that show.
The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen chiefly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. Taken from a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag arrived as a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. A Kisslock Backpack was also presented for Fall 2026, adding yet another use of the name.
Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Consisting of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals offers bags that are new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock, and Coach dates the original design to 1987. Also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is the current version. The Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag modeled on a 1998 design, so the two names are not interchangeable.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 featured the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in circulation by 2020. The line works for buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Spanning three different products, Soho is among the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap was introduced in 2006. Produced in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue rather than that 2006 bag. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals.
Unlike the two bags, the Soho Sneaker is footwear featured by Coach in 2025 and 2026, and it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search helps separate the bags from the shoe. Because no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, check Coach’s own website before making a purchase.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet Compared
These three lines are well known, but none has a documented launch year, so treat any date you see online with caution. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. A Custom Willow Tote has also been offered on Coach’s own website; the Willow Tote 24, for its part, is a clear example of a coach tote bag. With a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is part of Cassie, a design that spans crossbody and top-handle styles.
Coach’s own website has kept Cassie styles listed using newer style codes. Sold in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a relaxed shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Because availability changes by season, check whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.
Observed Prices: All the Lines at a Glance
The table below groups the main lines with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. These are observed market prices, not an official Coach price list, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. US prices exclude sales tax, but UK prices include VAT. Outlet styles get their own promotions at a coach outlet, while full-price styles may be marked down during sales.
Set up as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet operates through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Around 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel, going by a 2014 quote from Coach’s head of investor relations. That figure is now dated, and Tapestry has since spoken about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. Current-season lines can be found at a full-price coach store or on Coach’s own website.
